Tammy Mentzer Brown was born in Iowa, grew up in Alabama, and currently resides in Tennessee. A fifteen-year old runaway, she would find grace, mercy, and strength in the people whose paths would cross her way to begin a new life, always acknowledging a mighty and powerful God at work in her life, celebrating the good with the bad. She moved to the Presbyterian Home for Children in Talladega, Alabama where she graduated from Talladega High School and would go on to complete a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama with a concentration in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior in 1999. She has worked in various jobs, including the Accounting field and Human Resources field (in manufacturing and software developments since). Tammy also holds her Master’s of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Biblical and Theological Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University and is pursuing her passion of teaching and writing Bible Studies.
Tammy has had the privilege of participating in conferences, retreats, and other speaking engagements and book signings. She is an inspirational speaker who has also been featured on television and in radio. She has been invited to speak at both public and private schools and state conferences for social workers, teachers, and youth. Her motto is that everyone should understand that their life is their story, and each day they get to turn a new page, then choose how to write it.
Patrick and Tammy have spent years volunteering in their community serving the youth.
